So I got to try a new app today called Quik, it was pretty straightforward (though I should have spent more time playing with the effects I think), and I am going to have some fun with it in future I hope. https://t.co/3VOPwb2TIa  I just took a few shots of an exhibition that is in the foyer of the art college where I work. The cut out dolls image (the white dashlines on the black backround) are actually part of my other life as a 'cut out doll' performer. We are a troupe of five, and we make cardboard dresses and perform at festivals and events. We performed a piece for 'art in uncertain times' and that is why there is only an outline of the dresses...because we were wearing the real ones! Here is a snap of us in our 'costume'

So my second task on 'rudai 23' was to upload a picture from an image bank.  It was nice to refresh my mind about  “Intellectual property”, Copyright, “Creative Commons” and “DRM”. I signed up to 'flickr', and had a little fun with my computer as it is quite outdated, but I installed 'picture viewer' so that I could access and download the images I choose. I love learning new 'bits and bobs' and I was delighted to get to grips with flickr and select from the 'creative commons' drop down. Next stop is pixabyay

There was one day that was sacrosanct though, Saturday how I loved thee, because right after 'Anything Goes' my Mum took me off  to the local library where I got to pick a massive bundle of books to keep me going until the next trip. I devoured them, I gobbled them word by word and fed my ravenous mind. The librarian was like an adoring Aunt who bestowed me with treats. She seemed to love my enthusiasm and would have a little pile of 'good ones' stashed behind the desk for me. Through these books I was able to escape into excitement, magic, toadstools, fairies, living breathing toys, wardrobes that led to other worlds, ginger-ale and young detectives, boarding schools wit
